AMPTP, July 16, 2007 - Today’s economics and audiences demand that we experiment, innovate and adapt to the transformative changes that confront us. Otherwise, we will suffer the consequences. We must change our mindset and our age-old ways of operating. Instead of helping us work toward solutions that would give us the flexibility we all need for the benefit of all, the WGA demands would impose unreasonable costs and Draconian restrictions.
We are committed to negotiating a deal that is fair to everyone; one that respects the needs and concerns of the WGA as well as all the AMPTP member companies; one that maintains industry stability, one that gives us the flexibility to adapt to the revolutionary changes in front of us; one that helps us manage our risks, grow our businesses and share our rewards.
